I desperately needed to go to the restroom. What two questions did I asked so I could figure with restroom was meant for whom ?

Statements Riddle

The first question I asked was "Is this restroom for men?" while pointing at one of them. I just remembered the word he said. Then I asked "Am I a man?" Now I knew that the second response will mean yes only. Thus I could compare the second response with the first to find out if the restroom I pointed at was correct or not.

If he says the same word, then the restroom I pointed at must be for males only. If he said a different word, the restroom I pointed at will be wrong and for females.
